Daniel Kim, Principal Attorney

Immigration Lawyer los angelesDaniel D. Kim practices business immigration and corporate transactions. He advises members of the international business community on the global migration of personnel and the use of investment in the immigration context.  Mr. Kim specializes in guiding artists, emerging visual effects companies, entrepreneurs, professionals and businesses engaged in international transactions and global mobility issues.  Previously, Mr. Kim started his legal career as in-house counsel for a digital arts studio and afterwards acquired extensive litigation experience, resulting in favorable verdicts in numerous jury trials. Mr. Kim has also practiced in the areas of corporate formation,intellectual property rights, licensing, and federal class actions. He has been honored to represent international entertainers, established companies, advanced degree professionals, and rising entrepreneurs during his years of practice.  Mr. Kim has been able to successfully guide foreign nationals and companies through the process of acquiring temporary visas (H1-B, L-1, O-1,P-1, E-2, etc) as well as permanent residency in the United States (EB-1, EB-2, EB-5, etc).

Mr. Kim received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in History and English Literature, and a minor in Asian American Studies. He attended University on a National Merit Finalist Scholarship and a California Alumni Scholarship. Mr. Kim then attended graduate school at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. on a Writing Center Fellowship.

Mr. Kim received his J.D. with a Public Interest Law Concentration from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. While in law school, Mr. Kim clerked with the Asian Law Caucus, a leading legal and civil rights organization.

Mr. Kim is qualified to practice in all state courts in California and in front of the Federal Court in the Central District of California and the Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, International Law Section of the California Bar, and the American Bar Association.
